Eddie Lacy Needs to Unpack The Pounds

Eddie Lacy needs to start mixing some salads into his eating rotation. We know that sounds harsh, but all of Packer Nation agrees, including the most important authority in this food fight, head coach Mike McCarthy.

“Well, I mean Eddie Lacy, he’s got a lot of work to do. I think I’m stating the obvious. His offseason last year was not good enough and he never recovered from it. I had a chance to talk to Eddie today and that was pretty much the majority of our whole conversation. So he has to get it done because he cannot play at the weight that he played at this year,” McCarthy said Monday.

Lacy finished his 2015 campaign with 187 carries for 758 yards (4.1-yard average) and three touchdowns. This after back to back 1,100-yard seasons in his first two years as a pro.

We’ll see how he looks in a few months. A man’s gotta eat, but many have eaten themselves out of the NFL.
