The Aston Martin DB4 GT Continuation

Leave it to Aston Martin to whet the wheelman whistle with the announcement that it will build 25 new examples of one of its most iconic models, the DB4 GT. With the project labeling the new wheels as the DB4 GT Continuation, the race track-only vehicles will be special “lightweight” examples, of which jut eight originals were built out of the total run of 75 DB4 GTs.

Focused on using a blend of old world craftmanship and modern techniques and overseen by the Aston Martin Works classic car department, the car’s braking, handling and safety measures will see updated improvements all the while ensuring that the new rollouts keep with the feel and character of the originals.

The DB4 GT Continuation will mirror the version designed by Tadek Marek, including a straight 6 that displaces 3.7 liters and is comprised of two spark plugs per cylinder with roughly 340 hp. Deliveries for this gorgeous automobile commence in the 3rd quarter of 2017 with the expected price tag somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.9 million.
