A New Tower for Gotham?

Architect Mark Foster Gage has an idea for New York City that climbs 102 stories. The assistant dean at the Yale School of Architecture has proposed the skyscraper for Manhattan that would serve mixed-use building would be among the city’s tallest.

Big deal, right? While it literally would be a big deal, the sizzle to this steak comes in its design: Gothic-inspired ornamentation constructed from robotic CNC technology, carved concrete wings that extend from the building, along with four giant cantilevered balconies overlooking the city.

While unconventional in style, including retail shops on the 64th floor instead of traditional street level locales, the building dubbed Khaleesi could join a exclusive company of iconic towers if approved.
