Josh Hamilton’s Newport Coast Home
Josh Hamilton got paid a king’s ransom to play baseball in Southern California for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (stupidest baseball team name ever, by the way).
It didn’t work out – he’s back in a Texas Ranger uniform.
Do you know what did work out for Hamilton? His living arrangements down in the Newport Beach area while he was playing for the Halos. Yet another reminder to teach your sons how to play baseball early. The payoff could end up being a mind blowing return of riches. Take a look at the residence he just unloaded for $12.5 million.
Designed by architect Will Hosband and built in 2013, the Provence-style house has six bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms in nearly 11,000 square feet of living space.
The master suite has a large soaking tub, a walk-in closet and one of six fireplaces.
On the main level, sliding doors open to a loggia with a sitting area topped with stone arches. An outdoor kitchen, an infinity-edge swimming pool and spa, fountains and formal landscaping are also within the half-acre setting.
Views of the coastline, harbor and surrounding community complete the setting.
