From the fastest automobile on land to what already looks like a jaw dropping watercraft on sea, Bugatti is preparing to make a big splash on the water.
The automaker has partnered with the world’s largest motor yacht builder, Palmer Johnson, to create a series of open carbon fiber sport yachts. Plan to see the distinctive Bugatti design elements and materials on all three models that range from 42 to 88 feet, inspired by some of its classic cars including the Type 57 C Atalante and the Type 41 Royale.
With pricing starting in the $2.2 million neighborhood, the “Niniette” Series, which is the pet name of company founder Ettore Bugatti’s daughter Lidia, is expected to reach a top speed of 38 knots, which translates to approximately 44 miles per hour.
This isn’t the supercar’s first rodeo with boats either. Bugatti developed racing boats in the 1930s, so we’re excited to see this newfound revival on water.
