Steak and Sinatra
Headed to Sin City this December? Throughout the month, the Golden Steer Steakhouse will be celebrating one of its most prestigious guests with a nod to Frank Sinatra. While performing in Vegas back in the 60s with the Rat Pack, Ol’ Blue Eyes became a regular here and had his own private booth. So in commemorating what would have been his 100th birthday on December 12th, the venue is promoting “Frank’s Menu.”
The 3-course meal is based on what Sinatra ordered when he dined there…
Clams Casino: from Narragansett Bay (Rhode Island), this dish is prepared with clams on the half shell and baked with white wine, bacon, diced red and yellow peppers and bread crumbs.
New York Strip (16 oz): served with sautéed diced tomatoes, garlic and white wine and medium rare, just like he ordered it.
Bananas Foster: the house specialty with The Golden Steer serving it tableside as a flambe.
Of course, if you’re mirroring Sinatra’s dining habits then no meal is complete without three fingers of Jack Daniels over two ice cubes.
If you indulge in the $100 per person meal then you’ll also find yourself at Franks’s actual booth for the experience.
The Golden Steer’s owner, Dr. Michael Signorelli, explains this incredible opportunity, “Very few places in town remain where Sinatra actually dined. He was even known for walking around the restaurant and serenading fellow guests while they ate and drank. We have all served and interacted with Sinatra over the years and it’s an honor to create this once-in-a-lifetime experience his fans will cherish.”
He did it his way and now you can too.
